EBUCC – European Beach Ultimate Club Championships – Cared for by Saltus in Gdańsk, Poland, starts on the 6th of June – less than 2 weeks away!
On May 22nd, the anticipated EBUCC2025 team pool draw was done live on Facebook, revealing which teams in the Mixed, Open, and Women´s divisions will be competing in the initial pools at EBUCC 2025. The live kicked off with the Mixed, followed by the Open and the Women’s Division. With a total of 19 European countries, the draw did not allow teams from the same nation to end up in the same pool, except for the Women’s Division due to the participation of four German teams and three initial pools.
Pools for Mixed Division
Starting with the Mixed Division, the 21 teams were divided into four Pools. Three of them would include five teams, and one of them would have six teams. The first draw established that Pool C would consist of 6 teams. Afterwards, the teams were drawn from pots, based on their seeding. Here is the result:
Pools for the Open Division
The Open Division, with 18 teams, was divided into four Pools. Two of them, C and D, consist of 5 teams. Pool A is led by Solaris (POL), Pool B by Sharks (ESP), Pool C by FT Würzburg (GER), and Pool D by KFK (DEN).
Pools for the Women’s Division
This year, the Women’s Division hosts 13 teams, divided into three Pools to ensure the best competition format. The first draw consisted of choosing the Pool that would contain five teams.
According to the established rules, only Pool A and C could have five teams. Pool A ended up with five teams. With three Pools and four German teams, assigning them to separate Pools was challenging. As a result, the rule about the same nation in one Pool doesn’t apply to Germany in the Women’s Division.
E6 (SWE) leads Pool A. Pool B is led by Sharks (ESP), and Pool C by JinX Midnight (GER).
