Lightning is forecasted for this weekend. The rule is that when the time between lightning and thunder is equal to or less than 30s (10 km away), we need to clear the beach. The organization will sound horns and bells, which means you must stop playing immediately and seek shelter. The timekeepers will stop the game time.

  • Do not panic; remain calm.
  • Listen for and follow instructions.
  • Leave the fields, tents, or grandstands immediately.
  • Please refrain from bringing personal belongings or bags, as they may cause delays in your departure.
  • Do not run, push, or overtake.
  • Go to the designated emergency evacuation assembly areas: the restaurant near the beach and the 4 buildings where some teams, volunteers, and media are staying (link). You can also take shelter in your car.
  • If you are caught exposed in a thunderstorm and cannot seek shelter, crouch into a ball, preferably in a ground hollow.
  • Do NOT go into the water or stay near metal structures. Do NOT take shelter in the tents on the beach!
  • Please refrain from going too far, as we will attempt to start games as soon as possible.
  • Please STAY at the designated safe areas until the Tournament Director gives the “All Clear” signal.
  • The schedule will be adjusted and announced as soon as possible – please be patient.
  • The All Clear to return to the beach will be announced in the Player News Feed and the Captain and Spirit Captains WhatsApp group.

Schedule changes due to the lightning stops will be communicated here and updated on live.ebucc.eu. When possible, games that were stopped will resume at the exact time they were stopped and play out to completion.

Stay safe!
