What a wonderful day before day 1 of EBUCC. I don’t think I have ever seen a more relaxed set-up and registration day. The team was ready, things got built, tents went up, fields were set, banners got assembled… the media crew came in… all under a blue sky, no wind, discs flying, and lots of smiling faces greeting and meeting each other.
The day ended with the Captain’s and Spirit Captain’s meeting, where it was great to see Henrietta Papp lead the meet as head the SOTG this weekend. By then, the beer stand was up and the coffee ready for tomorrow morning. As registration took place, the organization enjoyed their night as did everyone else. Funny to see how bad ultimate players are at bringing signed waivers… what is that about us?
Anyway, I really enjoyed today. A lot of work, done by a lot of good people. I can only hope that EBUC2019 in May will be as peaceful to set up… In the end, kudos to Bravas and BULA for making this happen!
