2019 was an amazing year for European Beach Ultimate! Along with an incredible European Championships in Portugal last May, 19 European countries hosted National Beach Ultimate Club Championships for women’s, men’s and mixed divisions throughout 2019.
Late last month, the complete list of the top European beach ultimate teams playing at the BULA European Beach Ultimate Club Championships (EBUCC) to take place next May became known.
The EBUCC eligibility rules are based on winning national championships in 2019, as well as final division ranking at the 2019 European Beach Ultimate Championships in Portugal last May. The latter especially influenced whether a nation has one or two teams represented in each division. For example, Spain and Russia – beach ultimate nations with strong participation at EBUC2019 – have two teams in most divisions.
As the second European Beach Ultimate Club championship, EBUCC2020 will be a wonderful opportunity to see teams from all over Europe. With top teams and athletes from 19 European nations playing beach ultimate at the most competitive level, EBUCC2020 promises to be a fantastic championship!
